LAN Cable Tester and Wire Tracker
This cable tester and tone wire tracker is designed for network installers, IT technicians, and electricians who need to diagnose and trace LAN or telephone wiring quickly. It works with UTP and STP cables including Cat5 and Cat6, and supports RJ45 and RJ11 connectors. BNC and telephone line testing is also available with the appropriate adapter.
What It Does
- Detects wiring faults: Automatically scans for miswiring, open circuits, short circuits, and disordered cable pairs.
- Traces cable runs: Send a tone signal from the transmitter and use the receiver to locate and identify cables up to 1000 ft away.
- Telephone line diagnostics: Identifies line status including clear ring and busy signals on active telephone lines.
- Tone modes: Choose between a single solid tone or a dual alternating tone for flexible tracing.
